Aki

Pax -

Phiily cheese steak - A diner in Stamford

Chicken with asparagus

More Italian than the original

Chinese lunch bargain

April 3, 2007: There is a restaurant named China Palace, close to my work on Park Avenue. There are three good things with that place:
1) They serve food really fast.
2) You get much food, it is cheap, and a soup is included
3) They like to speak Chinese with me

Today I choosed their tofu with vegetables and fried chicken. Delicious, quite healthy and cheap :)

Chinese food, too salty?

CNN

Until now, I guess I know why they have this kind of impression. One Turkish friend told me that he thinks Chinese food is too PLAIN, so when he gets food, the first action he will do is to add more salt on it! Oh my!... And I recalled when I was in Istanbul, I found their food sometimes too salty, like stewed meat, oh, it's so impressive. So to conclude, in order to adapt "foreigners'" taste, Chinese chefs changed their way to cook!?

A-pei mama said, the less salt you add, the healthier you will be.

Gray's papaya - Hot dogs' special

Unhealthy food again, don't blame on me, Mr. An~~~~~

Well, I should say, if I can choose, I prefer danish hot dog. :-)

Because I don't know what toppings I should put on my hot dog, I said "everything" which I learned from Wei Xu's English book. And it works! Haha!!

I found it so so. Bread is very common, and so is hot dog. However, onions, sauerkraut, ketchup, and mustard...go well with hot dog and bread. As for PAPAYA drink, it is worth taking a try. Unlike Taiwanese papaya milk, it tastes lighter.

$ 3.5, tax included. 2 x hot dogs and 1 drink

Chinese pecan chicken in Harlem

I was really hungry after visiting a church in Harlem, New York. So, while looking for an African restaurant, a Chinese suddenly popped up instead. Well, why not grab a pecan chicken with some wonton soup? It was not bad, and not too salty. But the vegetables could maybe have been more fresh.
